A Safe, Structured Alternative to School

For children who are not thriving in mainstream education and need a different environment to succeed

A Different Approach to Education

At Equi-Zen, we support children who are struggling in traditional school environments by offering a structured and supportive alternative.

We understand that for some children, mainstream education can feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, disengagement or loss of confidence.

Our programme provides a space where children can feel safe, understood, and ready to learn again.

This programme is ideal for children who:

  • Are struggling in mainstream school

  • Experience anxiety or school refusal

  • Are neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD, etc.)

  • Have experienced trauma or challenging life circumstances

  • Are home educated and would benefit from structured learning and social interaction

More Than Just Education

We combine structured learning with emotional support and hands-on experiences to support the whole child, not just their academic progress.

Support for the Whole Child

Need Additional Support?

We believe every child should have access to the right environment to support their learning and wellbeing.

For families who may not be in a position to fund a place privately, there may be fully funded or supported placements available through external pathways.

Funded places are typically available for children who:

  • Are in foster care

  • Have been referred through a school, local authority, or Virtual School

  • Are experiencing significant financial hardship

These funded placements are limited and are allocated based on individual circumstances and eligibility criteria set by external organisations.

We kindly ask that this option is only considered by families who genuinely require financial support.
